Parley Chat Overview

Last updated: February 10, 2026

Key principles

  1. The Parley Agent is trained on immigration-specific legal resources.

  2. The Parley Agent does not train on you or your client’s data.

  3. Parley is built to get you to where you do your most efficient work. Work in Parley is meant to be exported to Microsoft Word and Google Docs to get over the finish line.

How context works in the Parley Agent

The Parley Agent only knows about the work you explicitly add to it.

You can add context from anywhere in Parley:

  • Applications

  • Projects

  • Tables

  • Library

When you add one of these, all files inside that work product become available to the Parley Agent for drafting, researching, and analysis.

If it’s not in context, the Parley Agent cannot search it, cite it, or draft from it.

What the Parley Agent can do today

  • Draft with in-line citations – Draft immigration documents grounded in your evidence and cited law.

  • Law search – Answer questions using CFR Title 8 and the USCIS Policy Manual.

  • SOC code and wage search – Match roles to SOC codes and pull current OFLC prevailing wages.

  • File / evidence search – Search and reason across documents in Applications, Projects, Tables, and Library folders.

  • Web search – Find public sources like government reports, industry research, and comparable wage data.

  • PDF – Visit a URL, convert the page to PDF, and pull it back into Parley for use as evidence.

What we don’t support

  • Implicit context – The Parley Agent won’t assume access to files you didn’t explicitly add into context within a specific chat session.

  • Product actions – The Parley Agent can’t operate the UI, click buttons, or configure workflows inside the product.

  • Product support – The Parley Agent can’t answer “how do I use Parley?” questions.

  • Expanded legal sources – This is on our near-term roadmap.

If you have a question about how to use the product, email us at [email protected] or send us a message using the green chat bubble in the bottom right hand corner of Parley – this is not a chatbot and sends a message to our team directly :)
