Creating an Exhibit Packet in Parley
Last updated: October 1, 2025
Exhibit packets are essential for presenting supporting evidence in visa applications. Parley makes it simple to organize exhibits, customize citation styles, manage exhibit visibility, and generate a polished PDF packet in minutes.
Packet Creation Overview (0:00)
Within any Parley case, navigate to the Index tab under your outline. Here you’ll see a pre-populated list of all exhibits already included in your case. For high-skilled visa applications, these will typically mirror the order in which exhibits appear in your draft.
From the index, you can:
Reorder groups and exhibits.
Decide how exhibits are cited (grouped or sequential).
Hide exhibits you don’t want displayed but still want used for drafting context.
Exhibit Style Customization (0:41)
Parley offers flexibility in how exhibits are labeled and cited:
Grouped numbering: Treat exhibits in the same group as a set (e.g., B1–B3, C1–C2).
Sequential numbering: Use a single sequence across all exhibits (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4).
Citation style: Choose between bulleted lists or in-text citations at the end of sections.
You can also manually reorder exhibits or move them between groups.
If you don’t want an exhibit to appear in the packet, click the eye icon. This hides the citation in your draft while still allowing the exhibit to be used as drafting context —useful for documents like questionnaires or background forms.
Create Exhibit Packet (2:19)
Once your index is organized, click Create Packet. Parley will:
Compile all exhibits into a single PDF.
Insert divider pages between exhibits.
Generate the packet in about 30 seconds.
You can download the packet once it’s ready. If you run into issues with your PDF viewer, try opening the file in your browser or preview mode.

Custom Index Usage (2:59)
If you need complete control over exhibit placement, you can use the Custom Index. This allows you to:
Reorder exhibits independently from the draft outline.
Assign exhibits to different sections.
Adjust formatting beyond default styling.
Most users will find the draft-generated index sufficient, but the custom option is available if you need additional flexibility.
Next step: Review your index, choose your preferred citation style, and generate your exhibit packet. If you need custom divider pages or unique formatting, contact us for support.
